
John Hughes was a writer, director, and producer. He wrote and directed some of the most successful comedy films in the 1980s and early 90s, including "National Lampoon's Vacation," and the sequels. His work includes many in the teen movie genre, including "Sixteen Candles," Weird Science," "The Breakfast Club," Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "Pretty in Pink" and "Some Kind of Wonderful."
